Galvalume Aluzinc Coil Factory-Shandong BOMIS Steel

2024-01-19

BOMIS is a Chinese galvalume steel coil manufacturer and Factory. We have the ability to supply AZ30-150gsm to meet customers’requirements for application in highly corrosive areas. We ensure that the weight of the metallic coating does not cut corners, and we have the equipment to detect it.

The surface of the galvalume aluzinc steel plate has a unique smooth, flat and gorgeous spangle, and the based color is silver-white. The coating composition consists of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon by weight. The production process of galvalume-coated steel sheets is similar to that of galvanized steel sheets and aluminum-coated sheets, and is a continuous molten coating process. Galvalume steel sheets with 55% aluminum-zinc alloy coating have superior corrosion resistance compared to galvanized steel sheets of the same thickness when both sides are exposed to the same environment. The galvalume steel plate with 55% aluminum-zinc alloy coating not only has good corrosion resistance, but also has excellent adhesion and flexibility.

The corrosion problem of the cut surface of galvalume steel sheets with 55% aluminum-zinc alloy coating has been the biggest concern of users since the commercialization of galvalume steel sheets. However, after more than 15 years of practice in various environments, galvalume-coated steel sheets have proven that even the cross-section has excellent corrosion resistance, which can completely dispel users' concerns.

The long-term corrosion resistance of metal-coated products mainly depends on the melting rate of the coating and the thickness of the coating. The melting rate of the zinc layer of galvanized steel sheets is higher than that of galvanized steel sheets with 55% aluminum-zinc alloy coating. Therefore, the service life of galvalume steel sheets with 55% aluminum-zinc alloy coating is longer than that of galvanized steel sheets. Based on the weight loss of galvalume steel sheets exposed to the atmospheric environment for a long time, Bethlehem Steel Company concluded that galvalume steel sheets with 55% aluminum-zinc alloy coating are 2 to 2 times more corrosion-resistant than G-90 galvanized steel sheets. The conclusion of 4 times is widely accepted by the industry.
