Hot-rolled steel coils are made of slabs (mainly continuous casting slabs) as raw materials, and after heating, they are made into strip steel by rough rolling units and finishing rolling units. The hot steel strip from the last rolling mill of the finishing mill is cooled to the set temperature by laminar flow and then rolled into a steel strip coil by the coiler. After cooling, according to different needs of users, the steel strip coils are processed into steel plates, flat coils, and longitudinal steel strip products through different finishing lines (leveling, straightening, cross-cutting or slitting, inspection, weighing, packaging and marking).
Application
Hot-rolled coil products are widely used in cold-rolled substrates, ships, cars, bridges, construction, machinery, oil pipelines, pressure vessels, etc. due to their excellent strength, good durability, easy processing and outstanding weldability.
